About Brembo
With its unique know-how in the manufacturing of braking systems for high-performance vehicles, Brembo is able to guarantee top quality standards and the most advanced technological knowledge, making it a world market leader in its sector. Brembo is the natural choice for use in the most sophisticated sports vehicles. Its skill ensures an unsurpassable performance level in the best cars produced in Europe, the USA and Japan today. It is distinguished by its vertical integration of the production process, embracing all the work phases and are the ideal partner for those who seek state-of-the-art braking systems. Brembo uses its own foundries in the industrial process, thereby bringing a thorough knowledge of metallurgy to its design know-how for the braking system components - a further synergy in the optimisation of the production cycle. The research and development phase is flanked by the testing phase, with static comfort tests, on-the-road tests and dynamic tests.
Appointment as Official UK Technical Centre
Scuderia Systems is proud to announce its new partnership with Brembo as the official UK Technical Centre for Ferrari/Maserati/Lamborghini. As more and more owners look to enhance and give their performance cars more focus, an increasing number have sought to address the comparative lack of braking performance offered by the original brakes on their car. In addition to this, many owners are shocked by the cost of replacing these brakes when they wear out and replacement is due. Now, owners can opt for a genuine upgrade which will totally transform the performance usability of their supercar for the same, but for the same cost as the original brakes.
The next time your brakes are worn, give us a call and compare the price of OE brakes against the price of a Brembo GT upgrade - you'll be pleasantly surprised that you can get so much more for the same money.
Case Study - Ferrari F430
A case in point is the Ferrari F430. The stock brakes on the F430 are effectively a carry-over from the earlier and less powerful V8 Ferrari, the 360. As a result, these tiny brakes are easily overwhelmed by the more powerful F430. The discs are just too small to dissipate heat effectively, whilst the calipers/pad combination yield far too small a surface area to grip the disc and rapidly slow the car - the net result is that the car is simply not capable of effective track use. It loses braking consistency and suffers from serious fade after just a few laps. Indeed, something as modest as spirited road driving can also cause serious brake fade after just one or two heavy brake applications. Ferrari did attempt to rectify this by fitting late (2008+) cars with the more powerful ceramic brakes as standard. However, the cost of these brakes was substantial as a new option, and it was a wildly expensive retrofit. Of course, because of this, many F430s were delivered with the steel brakes, which as we just pointed out, cannot cope with spirited demands.
Brembo recognised the problem and have developed an excellent upgrade with their GT kit. This kit offers enormous 380mm discs all round (front and rear), with high performance racing pads in massive six-piston brake calipers linked up to the car's original fittings with stainless steel braided brake lines
(please click the thumbnails above for enlarged pictures which show the kit). Once fitted, the F430 stops the way it accelerates - ferociously. Braking performance is, put simply, massive. Brake pedal feel is consistent and the bite from the brake pedal is razor sharp, allowing the car to stop immediately. Even with extreme road use and the most sustained multi-lap trackday usage, the brakes suffer from absolutely no fade, giving high performance drivers the confidence to really push their F430 to their own limits. And finally, the Brembo GT kit fills out the original 19" wheels, giving the F430 a more aggressive and satisfying look.

Although focused on the supply of braking upgrades for high-end performance cars (such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche and Aston Martin), Scuderia Systems can also supply brake upgrades from the
entire Brembo application list (including applications for BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lotus and many others).
